
Summer Reading at Prescott Public Library is almost here! This year’s Summer Reading theme is Unearth a Story. Read on to learn more about our reading challenges and how to participate as well as all the FREE, fun things happening this summer at Prescott Public Library!
Three Ways to Participate– Choose one!
- Sign up at the Youth Desk and receive a paper reading log to track your reading activity. Adults may sign up at the Ask a Librarian desk to receive a paper reading log.
- Create a Beanstack account, join a Summer Reading 2025 challenge for your age group, and log your reading activity online
- Download the Beanstack app from your device’s app store, create an account, join a Summer Reading 2025 challenge for your age group, and log your reading activity in the app
Summer Reading for Youth (ages 0-18)
Youth Summer Reading includes reading challenges for Pre-K (ages 0-4),Kids (ages 5-11), Teens (ages 12-18)! From May 21 – July 25, youth can sign up and log their reading activity to earn prizes!
**Please note: Youth prizes can be redeemed at the Youth Desk beginning Monday, June 1. All youth prizes must be collected by Sunday, August 2.
Summer Reading for Adults (ages 19+)
Summer Reading isn’t just for kids! From June 1 through July 25, adults 19+ can “Unearth a Story” during the Adult Summer Reading Challenge. Unravel the mystery of a local lost gold mine, explore Arizona history, celebrate the 250th birthday of America and, of course, get rewarded for reading. Over the course of the program, participants will collect stamps in a special treasure diary by completing a variety of challenges and puzzles. Patrons who collect at least one stamp will earn a gift card to the Friends of the Prescott Public Library book sale and an entry into a grand prize drawing. Patrons who complete more challenges can earn additional entries into the drawing. Treasure diaries and stamps can be collected at the Ask a Librarian desk on the second floor of the library.
**Please note: Grand prize winners will be contacted by July 31. Adult prizes must be claimed at the Ask a Librarian Desk by Friday, August 31.

From weekly storytimes and crafts to LEGOs and live entertainment, our Youth librarians have lots of reading fun planned this summer! Check our online events calendar for the full lineup. Some highlights include:
